Arbikie Nadar Gin 70CL
Highlands & Islands, Scotland
Đ 130.00
Arbikie Nàdar Gin is billed as the world's first climate-positive gin, grown and distilled at Arbikie Distillery on Scotland's Angus coast, a farm-to-bottle operation where the grain, and much of the botanical base, is grown on the family's own farmland. The gin carries a verified negative carbon footprint of -1.54kg CO2e, a result of regenerative farming practices and the distillery's broader sustainability programme. Nàdar was developed by Arbikie's Master Distiller Kirsty Black as part of her PhD research, undertaken in conjunction with Abertay University, giving the gin a genuinely research-driven, innovative pedigree rather than a purely marketing-led sustainability angle. On the nose, expect classic juniper backed by fresh, herbaceous notes drawn from Arbikie's own-grown botanicals, with a bright, green freshness that reflects the coastal Angus terroir. The palate carries juniper through cleanly, with citrus and soft spice adding complexity without overwhelming the gin's core character. The finish is crisp and refreshing, with lingering herbal notes. Nàdar works well in a classic gin and tonic, where its clean, botanical-forward profile shines with minimal garnish, and it also performs confidently in a Martini for drinkers who want a gin with real character. For anyone who cares about sustainability credentials as much as flavour, Nàdar offers both in a single, thoughtfully made bottle.
