Frequently
Asked Questions
The questions we hear most often — licences, delivery, collection and En Primeur.
Do I need a licence to buy from Le Clos?
A valid UAE liquor licence is required for home delivery within Dubai. No personal licence is needed to collect at Le Clos RAK (Al Hamra Village) or to purchase duty-free at Dubai International when travelling.
How does airside collection work?
Reserve online, tell us your flight and pickup window, and collect at the Le Clos boutique in your departure concourse. Duty-free pricing applies - no VAT for departing passengers.
What is En Primeur?
Buying wine while it is still in barrel, at the opening release price. Your cases are held in bond in France or the UK and tracked in My Wines until they are bottled and ready.
Can En Primeur wine be delivered to the UAE?
No - En Primeur is stored in bond in France or the UK, or delivered to a UK address on release. It never mixes with your domestic or duty-free cart.
How fast is Dubai delivery?
Order before 4pm for same-day delivery, 18:00-22:00, anywhere in the emirate of Dubai. Your licence is verified before dispatch.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted online, charged in AED. At Dubai International you may also pay in USD, EUR or GBP at the boutique.
How do I follow my order?
Every order appears under My Orders in your account with its current status, and we confirm each step by email - placed, ready for collection or out for delivery.
Can I return a bottle?
If a bottle arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, contact us within 48 hours and we will replace it or refund you. Unopened bottles in their original condition may be returned within 14 days; please speak to our sommeliers first.
